A playful study of geometry, the Piston Linear Suspension by Kichler features an industrial-era style with an open design. Two thin downrods unite a ceiling mount plate with an elegantly curving oval cage, which houses two sets of bulbs each coming from a central, spherical base. Keeping style in mind while maintaining minimal blockage of the light, a black mesh wraps around the middle of the open cage, creating a perimeter that softens the direct glare of the bulbs when viewed directly. From above and below, the bulbs are unrestrained, sending out a full, clean glow.
